A native of Mobile, Dr. Roy received his B.S. with honors from Birmingham-Southern College and his M.D. from the University of Alabama School of Medicine.
He completed an Ob-Gyn Internship and Residency at the University of Louisville.

Dr. Roy then completed three fellowships: a Fellowship in Advanced Pelvic and Reconstructive Surgery at Emory University, Atlanta; a Wellbeing/Birthright
Ovarian Cancer Research Fellowship at University of Southampton School of Medicine, Southampton, United Kingdom; and a three-year Gynecologic Oncology
Fellowship at The Yale University School of Medicine, New Haven.

Upon completing his Yale fellowship in 2000, Dr. Roy entered private practice and conducted research in San Diego and Bakersfield, California, most recently
serving as medical director of Pacific Gynecologic Specialists in Bakersfield. While in Bakersfield, he also served as Chief of Gynecologic Oncology at Kern Medical Center.

Dr. Roy has conducted or participated in a large number of cancer research studies involving the surgical and chemotherapeutic treatment of women’s cancers,
with articles published in several professional journals and textbooks. In May 2003, he and his colleagues at the Women’s Cancer Center in California received the
“Award for Commitment to Advancing Cancer Research Through Clinical Trials” from the American Society of Clinical Oncology.   Dr. Roy joined The Cancer Center
at Providence in 2007, and is credentialed by M. D. Anderson Physicians Network^® .

Dr. Roy has expertise in employing minimally invasive surgical techniques in the treatment of gynecologic malignancies and complicated benign conditions of the
